Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is one of the most anticipated films of 2026 is set for a grand public unveiling. Featuring a massive ensemble cast, the epic is set to release in theatres on the auspicious occasion of Diwali 2026.
Marking the sacred festival of Ram Navami, the makers of Ramayana have planned a grand public unveiling. On March 27, a spectacular event will be held at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India, where the film will be officially introduced for the first time. The event will reveal the characters and offer audiences a glimpse into the film’s rich visual world.
Ramayana Part 1: Cast and Crew
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita Devi. Yash plays the powerful role of Ravana, while Ravie Dubey appears as Lakshman. Veteran actor Arun Govil will be seen as King Dashrath. The first look of the film, released last July, received an overwhelming response from fans and audiences alike.
It is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and global VFX powerhouse DNEG, in collaboration with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film boasts an exceptional technical team, including Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. Action sequences are handled by renowned stunt director Guy Norris, known for Mad Max: Fury Road, while Terry Notary—famous for his work in Avengers and Planet of the Apes—is also part of the project.
The epic saga will be told in two parts. Ramayana: Part 1 will release in theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 on Diwali 2027.
