Saturday Likely the Biggest Day of the Weekend
Day 3 is likely to be the biggest day of the opening weekend. Sunday isn’t carrying the same level of advance bookings as Saturday, both in India and overseas.
Overseas, that’s expected, as Saturday usually beats Sunday. In India, Sunday is Diwali, and the festival day itself is often quieter at the box office, with families busy with celebrations at home.
The Post-Diwali Boom
The real growth is expected after the festival. In India, the post-Diwali days are usually much stronger than Diwali day itself, and Ramayana is set to make the most of the Monday and Tuesday holiday crowds.
With strong word of mouth and its biggest day now behind it, Ramayana is building the momentum it needs for a big first week.
