Rama Banam is career biggest disaster film for Gopichand

Gopichand’s Rama Rama Banam which was released on the last weekend had received poor response from the audience and critics as well. The trade circles expected this film to do well at the box office, especially in B,C Centers as the film was publicised a mass family entertainer. Hero Gopichand looked very confident about the film’s success during the promotions but it has turned out to be the biggest disaster of his career.

Despite the film coming in a blockbuster combo of Gopichand – Sriwas [Lakshyam and Loukyam] the film was even failed to get a minimal opening on the 1st weekend and the film has just collected a share around 2.5 Crores worldwide which is a disastrous number. The film is said to be high budget film in Gopichand’s career and with these collections the film has turned out to be the biggest disaster in his career.

Rama Banam is directed by Srivas in which Dimple Hayati played the female lead, while Jagapathi Babu and Khushbu appear in key roles in. Bhupathi Raja has written the story for this movie, while the tunes are composed by Micky J Meyer. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and co-produced by Vivek Kuchibhotla under People Media Factory, this family entertainer also stars Sachin Khedekar, Nasser, Ali, Raja Ravindra, Vennela Kishore, Saptagiri, Kashi Vishwanath, Satya, Getup Srinu, Sameer and Tarun Arora in other important roles.

The movie tells us the story of Vicky (Gopichand) who gets estranged from his brother Rajaram (Jagapathy Babu) and family after a conflict and claims he’ll become something very big someday. He lands in Kolkata and becomes a powerful don. As fate would have it, he comes back home for his love Bhairavi (Dimple Hayathi). What happens when he heads back home? What kind of problems crop up for Rajaram and how Vicky solves them is what the movie follows.
