For those unaware, writer-director Harish Shankar is supposed to direct Ram Pothineni very soon. The project has been in discussions for months, and an official announcement is expected to be out very soon.
However, according to a reliable source, the project has been permanently shelved. The primary reason behind this is the huge remunerations quoted by the Ram and Harish, with the former demanding a salary over INR 25 crore.
Needless to say, Harish Shankar’s last outing Mr. Bachchan (2024) was a huge flop. On the other hand, Mr. Pothineni is having a disastrous phase in career with a series of box-office bombs along with the recent Double Ismart (2024). Having said that, Harish is now fully equipped to wrap up Pawan Kalyan‘s Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
