Rajinikanth’s current film Jailer 2 is currently on the shooting floors. The film is expected to complete its entire shoot by the end of this year or early 2026 and is planned for a summer-end 2026 release.
After Jailer 2, Rajinikanth announced a multistarrer project with Kamal Haasan, but this film will take some time to go on floors as the director is yet to be finalized and a lot of pre-production work needs to be done.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is reportedly planning to complete a quick project. The film is said to be produced by Vels and Aishwarya Rajinikanth, with Sundar C, who directed the sensational blockbuster Arunachalam, in talks to helm this quickie.If everything goes as planned, Rajinikanth is likely to have two releases in 2026 — Jailer 2 around summer-end and another film for the Diwali release.
