Rajamouli’s RRR Japan 1st weekend collections are Poor

SS Rajamouli’s action drama, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR starrer RRR created a sensation when it was released at the domestic and international box office. The film was released with an enormous craze and it has earned around 1200 crore globally.

The film, which also stars Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in supporting roles, was earlier in the news for not becoming India’s official entry for Oscars 2023. However, it has now gone international and was released in Japan recently. Ram Charan, JR NTR, and Rajamouli went to promote the movie before its release.

The blockbuster film hit the theatres in Japan last Friday i.e., October 21. It has been receiving a thunderous response from day 1 from its Japanese fans.

RRR started with 1Cr gross on opening day by beating the previous records of Saaho and bahubali2 and dangal etc. If we see normally the collections are very good, but because of the hype, RRR created the trade circles have expected it to go bigger for the weekend.

But RRR continued the same flow for the weekend with neither growth nor many drops in Saturday and Sunday’s collections. For the weekend the film has collected approx 3.7 Cr gross which is a bit underwhelming considering the Kind of promotions the RRR team did as per the box office experts.

This Mega Power Star and JR NTR’s most hyped multistarrer should collect at least more than 30 Crores gross in it’s full run in Japan to meet the promotional budget and efforts of the team. Let’s wait and watch where the RRR movie’s collections end in Japan.
