Director Maruthi got a chance to work with Pan Indian Star Prabhas with The Raja Saab. The film, which was announced to be released in December, is said to be moving to Sankranthi. The makers say that Raja Saab is all set to become a franchise.
Post COVID-19, the sequels and franchises trend has become the norm in Indian cinema, and even Telugu films are also following the trend with big sequels like Salaar and Devara lined up in the coming days.
Prabhas – Maruthi’s The Raja Saab is a Franchise Film
Now, Prabhas’s Raja Saab is also on the way to becoming a franchise. The producer of the film stated in a recent interview that it will be different from the other multi-part films. He said, “We’ve got around 4 hours and 30 minutes of raw footage for The Raja Saab. We’re working on chopping and editing it down to about 2 hours and 45 minutes.”
According to the producer’s words, Prabhas and Maruthi’s The Raja Saab will also have a Part 2, but it will not be a direct continuation, and it will explore a different story set in a multiverse-like concept.
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad said that the movie will have a lot of exciting elements, such as action, entertainment, songs, grand VFX, a unique story, and everything.
He also said that they are considering the Sankranthi release, as distributors say it would be a great date for the comedy horror genre. So, all we need is an official confirmation of The Raja Saab moving to Sankranthi.
