A police case was filed against Rahul Sipligunj, the popular playback singer and Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3 winner, following a complaint lodged by a woman in Visakhapatnam. The Rahul Sipligunj police case, registered at the MVP Colony Police Station, involves serious allegations including threats, blackmail, marriage fraud, and harassment.
The complainant alleged that Karpurapu Rahul Reddy, reportedly a relative of the singer, deceived her with false promises of marriage and subsequently blackmailed her using her personal photos and videos. According to the complaint, Rahul Sipligunj allegedly threatened the woman and coerced her into making video statements regarding the matter.
Rahul Sipligunj and 11 others now face charges in connection with the case. The matter was initially registered at the MVP Police Station in Visakhapatnam before being transferred to the Endada Women’s Police Station for further investigation. Cases have been filed on charges including criminal intimidation and cyber harassment.
The development marks a significant controversy for the singer, who gained widespread recognition after winning Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3 and has since been a prominent voice in the Telugu music industry.
