PVR, the largest holder of Indian multiplex screens, is poised for expansion. The latest reports suggest that PVR INOX is planning to add 100 new screens in the current financial year (FY26), and its expansion strategy specifically includes focusing on tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
The company is actively targeting these smaller markets with a low-cost, affordable ticket pricing model.
Reportedly, PVR INOX is considering a lower average ticket price for its new 100 Screens, potentially in the range of ₹150 to ₹200, making it an affordable choice for the viewers.
PVR, which stands for Priya Village Roadshow, is India’s largest and most premium film exhibition company, having introduced the multiplex concept to India in 1997. It operates a vast network of cinemas across India and Sri Lanka, offering various premium formats and amenities to enhance the movie-going experience.
