Kanguva producer Gananvel Raja in an interview confirmed that Kanguva’s 2nd part is on its way and stated that this is going to be Suriya’s biggest and finest film of his career. The producer also spoke about the upcoming big release Pushpa 2 and made a few bold predictions.
Speaking about the trend of pan-India movies, he mentioned how this business expansion of South Indian movies was doing wonders in Hindi markets. Citing the example of KGF 1, he said that the first film collected 40 Cr nett in Hindi where as KGF 2 collected 10 times of that Hindi.
Gnanvel Raja predicted something similar for Pushpa 2. He said that the first film collected more than 110 Cr in Hindi and right now just the non-theatrical of Pushpa 2 is around Rs 240 Cr – 250 Cr. This is an indication of what kind of business potential this upcoming Sukumar-Allu Arjun project has.
The trade is expecting KGF 2 range numbers in Hindi even in the worst case scenario. If Pushpa 2 clicks then sky is the limit all records will be broken, predicted the producer. Gnanvel Raja said that he is expecting a similar reception for Kanguva as well.
