Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has faced a major setback in career with Double Ismart (2024), a sequel to Ismart Shankar (2019). It features Ram Pothineni, Kavya Thapar, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. While the first installment fared well, the latest flick bombed at the box office very badly.
While fans expected Puri to direct Chiranjeevi in his next project, here’s a surprising revelation: the writer-director is planning to collaborate with actor Gopichand for a mass commercial entertainer.
The actor-director’s first collaboration happened with the super hit cop drama Golimar (2010). Noted for Gopichand’s terrific performance and Puri’s hardhitting dialogues, the film gained a cult following over the years. If materialized, this will be a combination to look forward to.
