Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is perhaps his most ambitious project to date. It has been made on a massive budget and on a grand scale. So far, the film has also done very well to keep itself in the conversation. This is due to the constant promos and the recent trailer launch.
Due to the buzz and hype surrounding Liger, buyers have been showing huge interest in the film. The business of Liger is booming at the moment and there is no sign of stopping this beast.
The theatrical rights of the Telugu version have been bought by Warangal Srinu for a whopping 72 crores including GST. This is the highest for any Vijay film. It is also important to mention that this is only for the Telugu version in India. The overseas market will add a considerable amount as well.
Warangal Srinu has quite a 30 crore ration for Andhra and it is also expected to perform in this range only. He is quoting a 9-10 crores ratio for Ceeded. From Andhra Pradesh alone, Warangal Srinu will expect to close at around 40 crores and 6 crores from the Rest of India.
Overall, he is expecting close to 45 crores in business, excluding Nizam. He will be releasing the film on his own in Nizam and it should collect a minimum share of 25+ crores to bring him to a safe position in the current market. Liger is a very crucial film for Warangal Srinu as he has already suffered two major blows this year in the form of Acharya and Virata Parvam.
