Pre – Buzz matters more than word-of-mouth and reviews for the film’s success

After Corona Wave, somehow the audiences are losing the interest in most of the films before release itself. The promotional content plays a very key role in a film’s success, more than the more than the word of mouth and reviews. If the audiences feel positive with promotional content, then even if movies gets below average – average talk and reviews, they are seeing excellent numbers at the box office.

At the same time, if the audiences are not pleased with the promotional content and some negative buzz is created before the release, then those movies fail to get a good opening and the audience are not coming to theaters even if the movie gets average – above-average talk for those movies as well.

In industry, most of the films open with mixed word of mouth and only a few films can open with unanimous positive response. For films that get mixed reviews, films pre-release buzz plays a very key role.

The makers should understand at least now and should not take the audience for granted, and they should only release the promotional content which works before release, or otherwise they will have to suffer losses.
