Prabhas is standing by his producer. TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory has confirmed that the banner will make another film with Prabhas, set for 2028. The producer made the announcement at the Garividi Lakshmi pre-release press meet.
“We will definitely do a movie with Prabhas garu in 2028,” Vishwa Prasad said.
Two Setbacks With Prabhas
The announcement means a lot for People Media Factory, because its association with Prabhas has not gone well so far.
The banner first tied up with Prabhas as a distributor for Adipurush in 2023. The film was one of the most talked about releases of that year, but it did not work at the box office, and distributors faced losses.
People Media Factory then produced The RajaSaab, the horror comedy directed by Maruthi. The film released for Sankranti in January 2026 with big expectations, but it failed at the box office, adding another loss for the banner.
Prabhas Steps In
Prabhas has now made sure his producer does not walk away empty-handed. As a gesture of support, People Media Factory was given the distribution rights for Spirit in one area. And on top of that, Prabhas has committed another film to the banner, which Vishwa Prasad has now officially confirmed.
In an industry where heroes often move on after a failure, this commitment shows the kind of relationship Prabhas shares with his producers. It is also a big boost for People Media Factory, which gets another chance with one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema.
Who Will Direct?
The biggest question now is the director. People Media Factory has not revealed who will helm the 2028 project, and fans are eager to know which filmmaker the banner lines up for Prabhas. After The RajaSaab, the choice of director will be watched very closely.
A Busy Calendar Ahead
The 2028 slot makes sense given how packed Prabhas’s lineup is. Fauzi with Hanu Raghavapudi is targeting the first half of 2027, while Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga is aiming for the second half of 2027. Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 has just resumed its shoot and is targeting a 2028 release.
With People Media Factory’s film now added for 2028, Prabhas’s calendar is fully booked for the next two years.
