Kollywood Veteran Actor Kamal Haasan recently made interesting comments in his speech in Thug Life’s Audio Launch. The Actor opined that the Kannada language had taken its birth from Tamil sparking a big debate on social media platforms. Many Netizens have come out strongly against Kamal Haasan for making assumptions. Now, a Police complaint has also been lodged against the Actor.
A person named, Karave Praveen Shetty has lodged this at RT Nagar Police Station. The Police have accepted the complaint but no FIR has been registered yet. In his complaint, the person alongwith Karnataka Rakshana Vedike accused Kamal Haasan of hurting the sentiments of Kannadigas, attempting to incite tension between Kannadigas ans Tamils disturbing public peace.
This issue has also been addressed by Kamal Haasan today. He opined that he shouldn’t have made these comments about languages and their origins, feeling that they must be left to historians. But Kamal Haasan has still been getting the criticism and counters over this issue. Thug Life is releasing on June 5th worldwide, and it has to be seen how this turns out for the film.
