Pawan Kalyan’s film counters Yatra 2

Mahi V Raghav’s Yatra 2 is slated to hit the screens on February 9th. The film will release alongside Ravi Teja’s Eagle and Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam. While these films are new releases, Pawan Kalyan’s 2012 political action film Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu has also entered the lineup in a bid to counter Yatra 2 which is based on YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s journey to CM chair.

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, directed by Puri Jagannadh featured Powerstar as a mechanic turned journalist who questions the malpractices of government. The political action film also starred Tamannah, Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao in key roles

Yatra 2 will be released on 8th February and it is a film made with a political agenda and will be showcasing YS Jaganmohan Reddy in a positive light. Pawan Kalyan’s film Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu will be re-releasing in theatres on 7th February.

Yatra 2 will star Jeeva, Mammootty, and Mahesh Manjerekar among others. Its prequel Yatra was focussed on YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s 2004 Padayatra across united AP and was released around the 2019 AP Assembly elections. Now with 2024 AP Assembly elections coming up in a few months, Yatra 2 is being seen as a vital political tool.
