Telugu Film Industry Should Stay United – AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan
According to Pawan Kalyan, the Telugu film industry should be given industry status, and the dignity of the actors or the people who work for it should not be disturbed. He lashed out at the film industry, as it did not give the minimum respect and gratitude towards the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Even after one year of the formation of the NDA coalition government, the Telugu film associations have not even once met the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Chandrababu Naidu. Except for coming together to meet just during the release of their films, the film industry has not come together for development. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan suggested that everyone should come together, but no one has responded positively.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan lashes out on Telugu Film Industry
“Organizations like the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Producers Council, and the Movie Artists’ Association seem to have forgotten how the previous government had harassed the top actors and technicians of the Telugu film industry. Even before the elections, the alliance parties had clearly stated that apart from giving all kinds of incentives to films made with an investment of crores of rupees, the dignity of those involved in this business, where creativity is associated, should not be disturbed.
Why do the people from the Telugu film industry come in person at the time of the release of their film and ask for a hike in the ticket price? Sri Pawan Kalyan has advised everyone to come together and discuss with the government, and the same was conveyed to the producers, Sri Dil Raju, Sri Allu Aravind, Sri D. Suresh Babu, Mrs. Y. Supriya, Sri Chinababu, Sri C. Ashwaneedat, and Sri Naveen Yerneni.
However, the producers came personally and have applied to the Department of Cinematography to raise ticket prices for their films. The government also responded positively.”
Pawan Kalyan also talks about the Disparities in the Tax Payment from the Theater Leaseholders
Pawan Kalyan fires on the Telugu cinema industry and points out the internal issues of the film industry. The Deputy CM office also stated that the theaters are not being operated by the relevant owners and the highest amount of the theaters is in the hands of the leaseholders.
It also asked about the disparity in paying the taxes from the leaseholders. The tax department has also directed whether or not the tax revenue has increased when prices for various films have increased. The income from theaters in Rayalaseema districts was discussed on this occasion, along with the gap between the ticket sales and the tax paid.
