Re-releasing iconic and cult movies of stars has become a trend in the recent past. Many of these movies have also enjoyed great success at the box office upon re-release. But while there is pleasure for one party, there is a burden for the other.
There is no doubt that fans enjoy the time of their lives when their favorite hero’s movie is re-releasing on the big screen. But what is the limit of their enjoyment? Should it be at the cost of someone else’s loss?
This is exactly what happened during the re-release of Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster Tholi Prema. The wild and pardon my language, hooliganistic fans of Pawan Kalyan seem to have damaged a screen yesterday in Vijayawada’s Kapardi theatre.
And this is not the first time that this happened. Even previously, fans have damaged the screens in excitement. And this is not limited to just Pawan Kalyan’s fans, every actor must make it a point to explain to their fans that such kind of behavior is unacceptable.
This is the reason the exhibitors are afraid about re-releasing movies. It is these uncontrollable fans who are damaging theatres in the name of celebrations.
