Putting an end to all the rumors, Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi has cleared all its release hurdles and is now ready to entertain audiences in theatres from tomorrow. The censor board had initially suggested several cuts, including some key portions of the film, which led the team to approach the Revising Committee.
The Revising Committee also recommended a few changes, and the makers edited the film accordingly. After reviewing the revised version, the committee finally granted the censor certificate.
Can Parasakthi Leverage Its Solo Release for Box Office Success?
In total, the film underwent around 25 censor cuts or mutes. The Tamil version of Parasakthi has cleared all its release hurdles and received a U/A certificate and has a runtime of 162 minutes and 43 seconds.
This clearance comes as a major advantage for the film, as it is set to enjoy an almost solo festival weekend. Jana Nayagan is still caught in a legal battle over its censor issues. If Parasakthi opens with positive word of mouth, it has the potential to achieve massive box office collections, similar to Amaran.
