After the massive success, the makers received offers from all major OTT platforms. Initially, there was a buzz that Netflix had acquired the rights, followed by reports suggesting that Hotstar had bagged the deal. Finally, an official update has arrived — Hotstar has confirmed that Lokah: Chapter 1 will be streaming soon.
As per the latest buzz, there are two possible streaming dates — October 17th and October 23rd. However, it is highly likely that the film will premiere on October 23rd in all languages.
As it is a five-part franchise film, the OTT response also plays a crucial role. The movie needs to reach audiences across all languages in a big way, as that will directly impact the craze for the second part. The second part has already been announced, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead, and it is expected to go on floors in the first half of 2026.
