Official : Naga Chaitanya’s Custody is streaming on OTT from this weekend

Naga Chaitanya’s movie Custody is all set to arrive at OTT platform soon. The Venkat Prabhu directorial will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from June 9. The bilingual film was released in theaters during May 2023, and it became a big failure at the box office in both Telugu and Tamil languages. However, a section of audiences liked the movie for its thrilling content. Krithi Shetty is the female lead in the movie.

Custody, the film, marks the first-ever collaboration between Hero Naga Chaitanya and Director Venkat Prabhu. The film consists of a massive star cast such as Arvind Swami, Sarath Kumar, Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Sampath Raj and Ramki in crucial roles.

The film’s music and background score have been composed by Illayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. This is the first time that they both have worked on a film, while the cinematography was handled by SR Kathir. Naga Chaitanya fans and the theater owners in the Telugu States had piled up big hopes on Custody’s result, but the film did not live up to the expectations. Let’s hope that the movie gets a better response upon its OTT release. Custody will be streaming on OTT in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

The movie tells us the story of Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) who is an honest police constable, and wants to do his duty sincerely. One night, Shiva plans to take his girlfriend Revathi (Krithi Shetty) from her marriage but on the way he finds himself between the fight of CBI Officer George (Sampath), and a criminal Raju (Aravind Swamy) and locks both of them in a cell without knowing their identities. Just when Shiva gets to know that George is indeed a CBI Officer, tension arises as an attack happens on the police station and Shiva, in retaliation, bashes the goons and flees away with George and Raju. What happened after that? Does Shiva succeed in his mission of getting the criminals punished? How is IG Nataraj involved in this case? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.
