Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey to Premiere in Mumbai

Christopher Nolan is set to bring The Odyssey to India for the first time, with Mumbai confirmed as part of the film's global premiere tour. The epic mythological film will premiere at PVR Icon IMAX: Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai this July, ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on July 17, 2026.

Mumbai Joins Elite Global Premiere Circuit

The Odyssey premiere places Mumbai alongside London, Paris, and New York as official stops on the film’s global tour. This marks a significant recognition of India’s importance in the international film market. Director Christopher Nolan, along with stars Matt Damon and Tom Holland, and Academy Award-winning producer Emma Thomas, are expected to attend the Mumbai event.

There are also rumors circulating that celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli might be invited to the Mumbai premiere, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

The Odyssey is Christopher Nolan’s ambitious adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic poem), following the legendary Greek king Odysseus on his perilous journey home after the Trojan War. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast led by Matt Damon as Odysseus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope.
