Telugu movie fans can look forward to a new multiplex, as the Odeon Mall in Hyderabad on RTC X Roads is undergoing a major renovation and will reopen soon. Social media users are already sharing photos of the mall.
The Odeon Theatre, once known as a popular single-screen cinema, has now been transformed into an eight-screen multiplex. It has been completely rebuilt with advanced projection systems, spacious seating, and multi-level parking facilities. The complex also includes shopping malls inside, allowing visitors to enjoy movies as well as shopping in the same place.
Initially, the Odeon Mall Hyderabad, with an upgraded multiplex, was set to open for movie lovers on October 24, but it did not happen, and audiences expect it to start by Sankranthi, the big movie season.
Another upcoming theatre at RTC X Roads is AMB Classic, which is scheduled to open during Sankranti 2026. This multiplex is being constructed in the same area where once the famous Sudarshan 70MM theater stood. Equipped with the latest technology, AMB Classic will feature seven modern screens. It is expected that the first film to be screened here will be The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas.
The RTC X Roads area, previously known for single-screen cinemas, is transitioning to a multiplex era with the upcoming grand openings of Odeon Mall and AMB Classic. The arrival of these two multiplexes will undoubtedly impact the single screens, but conversely, if people maintain their preference for single screens, the effect could shift to the multiplexes.
