He claimed in the high court that three years ago, he shared this story with Jeethu and accused them of cheating. He wanted to stop the release of Neru.
The Kerala High Court did not give the verdict in favor of Deepak Unni, and they cleared all issues for the release of ‘Neru,’ which stars Mohanlal and was directed by Jeethu Joseph, on Wednesday. Justice Devan Ramachandran of the Single Judge Bench issued a notice today to a person alleging that the movie script was plagiarized. The bench issued a notice to the respondents through a special messenger. The Court, however, refused to stay the release of the movie tomorrow.
So there are no legal issues for the release of the film, and it is getting released tomorrow as planned. Neru is a very low-budget film that has strong content. Usually, this kind of film will have little initial start. Despite having Salaar in competition, Neru has good bookings, and it will grow much bigger if word of mouth becomes positive.

Neru also stars Santhi, Jagadish, Ganesh Kumar, Nandu, Aditi Ravi, and Harikrishnan. Jeethu, who was last associated with Kooman, is working with cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, music director Vishnu Shyam, and editor VS Vinayak again.
Antony Perumbavoor produces the film under his Aashirvaad Cinemas banner. Mohanlal and Jeethu have collaborated on Drishyam, Drishyam 2, 12th Man, and Ram: Part 1, which has yet to be released.
