No Impact from Avatar 3: Dhurandhar Holds Strong

Avatar: Fire and Ash does not stop the box office run of Dhurandhar.

Not only Telugu Films, but even the other language films also feared the impact of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, including the latest Bollywood blockbuster, Dhurandhar. But Ranveer Singh starrer continues to hold strong at the box office despite facing the competition from the Hollywood biggie.

Dhurandhar, the sensational blockbuster hit of the year, rewriting box office records, creates a big record for the 2nd week. In 2 weeks, the film has collected 440 Cr net in India and 680 Cr worldwide gross as per box office tracking websites. The official reporting numbers are a bit high.

As Pushpa 2 is the biggest Hindi net film in India with 730 Cr net, Dhrundhar needs another 300 Cr from now onwards to surpass that, and there were some doubts about whether it would be possible, as Avatar 3 is releasing today.

But Avatar 3 fails to shake Dhurandhar, as the film holds the record for the 3rd Friday for any Hindi film with 20Cr+ nett estimates, and with this, the film is all set to create the biggest 3rd weekend and 3rd week records. In the next 2 weeks, the film will have the advantage of Christamas and New Year holidays.

Now it’s sure that the film is on track to beat Pushpa 2, with high chances to score over 750 Cr Hindi net in India. Today, the film will cross the 700 Cr gross mark worldwide.
