Usually, when there is a film release of a Mega hero, there are active promotions for the film and hype is on another level altogether. Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Ghani is releasing on April 8th and contrary to the scenario, there seems to be no buzz and craze for the film.
Ghani has failed to create even minimum buzz and there seems to be no interest for exhibitors and distributors as well. The film needs an overwhelming positive talk to get decent openings from the audiences. The lack of buzz is probably due to the hype surrounding RRR at the moment. Audiences are not bothered about other films at the moment.
With KGF 2 and Beast also around the corner, an April 8th release seems highly risky for Ghani. Going by the lack of promotions for the film, the team is most probably looking to postpone the release to a later date.
Ghani is also Varun Tej’s costliest film to date, which means it needs a strong first week to recover the money spent. Ghani also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Suniel Shetty, and Upendra in prominent roles. Kiran Korrapati is the director of the film. Thaman S is the music director.
