After a long time, Ram’s film Andhra King Taluka, which released at the end of November, opened with unanimously positive word of mouth and reviews, but this positive response did not reflect at the box office, and the film ended up as a commercial failure. Despite this, there were strong expectations that the movie would perform well on OTT platforms.
The film started streaming on Netflix from December 25 in all languages. From December 25 to January 4, over a period of 11 days, the movie recorded around 2.6 million views, which indicates decent viewership.
But even on OTT, Ram’s Andhra King Taluka did not receive a very strong response from audiences, and though it had decent views, the result is no different from the theatrical failure.
Many viewers felt that they could not connect deeply with the emotions of the film. Additionally, the storyline involving a hero’s hardcore fan giving ₹3 crore to a superstar did not work well for many viewers, which affected the overall impact of the movie.
