Nithya Menen finally wins the National Award

The winners of National Film Awards have been announced today. These will be presented for films released in 2022. Many saw their names among various Award categories in the Film Awards. But One actress has at last got her long due today in the list with the Award. It’s Nithya Menen who has finally won the prestigious National Award for Best Actress for her performance in Thiruchitrambalam.

Nithya Menen has been known for her fine acting performances in many roles she did across all South Indian Film Industries. She starred in all languages in the lead role as well. Today, she has finally won the much needed award. She once got an opportunity to act as Mahanati, biopic of Telugu Actress Savitri. But the Actress opted out which then went to Keerthy Suresh. Keerthy Suresh won National Award for this film as well later. This way, Nithya Menen missed the Award once but not this time.

Nithya Menen was awarded this for her performance as Shobana in Thiruchitrambalam. Her performance in the film received rave reviews as well after the film’s release. She even won a Filmfare Award for this film already. Now she will be lifting the National Award for this role soon.

Actress, Mansi Parekh will be also getting the award along with Nithya Menen for her performance in Kutch Express. Apart from these, Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor Award for his performance in Kantara. This was shocking as no one expected this to happen. Rishab Shetty will be the second South Indian Actor after Allu Arjun to receive Best Actor Award in the recent times.
