Telugu actor Nikhil Siddhartha distributed free books and stationery kits to around 1,000 students at PSM Girls High School and local government schools in Bhimavaram, West Godavari district. The Karthikeya 2 star also announced plans to establish a special trust dedicated to supporting education for underprivileged children.
Distribution Drive at Bhimavaram Schools
Nikhil recently visited Bhimavaram with his team to personally hand over the stationery kits, gift bags, and essential study materials to approximately 1,000 children studying in classes 1 to 5. The initiative covered both PSM Girls High School and neighboring government schools in the region.
This charitable gesture aligns with a growing trend among Telugu cinema stars supporting education, similar to Vijay Deverakonda announcing scholarships for village students earlier this year through his foundation.
Future Plans for Educational Trust
Speaking about his long-term vision, Nikhil shared his commitment to structured charitable work. “Will definitely set up a trust, but there is no rule that we have to serve only after setting up a trust. This is something I am doing as my part. This is an effort that I am making with devotion,” he said.
The actor revealed his consistent support for education causes over the years. “I felt like doing it even during the Corona period. I used to do it every year without publicity. I got inspired by seeing many people. I hope that many people will also get inspired by seeing me,” Nikhil added.
Swayambhu Update
On the professional front, Nikhil is currently working on Swayambhu, a pan-India period film in its final stages of post-production. The ambitious project, which marks one of his biggest productions to date, is expected to release later this year.
