Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut starrer Chandramukhi 2, was released recently and ended up as an average box-office fare. The film was released alongside “The Vaccine War” and “Fukrey 3,” with the horror comedy failing to stand up to the level of success its prequel achieved.
Directed by P. Vasu, “Chandramukhi 2” was the much-anticipated sequel to the 2005 blockbuster “Chandramukhi,” which featured Rajinikanth and Jyotika. After a mixed run at the box office, the film is now getting ready for its OTT release. The OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix and the film will be released on the digital platform in all languages on 26th October
Kangana Ranaut takes on the titular role of Chandramukhi, while Raghava Lawrence portrayed dual characters as Pandiyan and Vettaiyan. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Lakshmi Menon, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, and Subiksha Krishnan. It was a pan-India project and the film was released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The story revolves around a man who owns the haunted Vettaiyan Palace, renting it out to a wealthy family. The family embarks on a journey to their ancestral village to perform a ritual but unwittingly unleashes the vengeful spirit of Chandramukhi.
