Thalapathy Vijay and filmmaker Venkat Prabhu’s The Greatest of All Time, dubbed GOAT, is set for an OTT release. The film will be available on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on October 3. The streaming giant Netflix revealed the OTT release date of Vijay GOAT via a special billboard. Fans were curious whether the director would release the expanded version on Netflix. According to the poster, the theatrical version will be available on OTT.
Netflix India’s official X page made the announcement with a new poster. “Have you ever seen a lion become G.O.A.T? Thalapathy Vijay’s The G.O.A.T.—The Greatest of All Time will be available on Netflix on October 3 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi (sp).
The film premiered in theaters on September 5. GOAT has completed 25 days in theaters and grossed more than Rs 450 crore globally. Though the film earned mixed reviews in other languages, it remains a blockbuster and is still showing in select theaters across Tamil Nadu.
The film, which stars Vijay in two roles, follows Gandhi, the former leader of an anti-terrorism squad, as he reunites with his squad colleagues to resolve the issues that arose from their earlier activities. This is Vijay’s penultimate film before his formal political debut. The film is also expected to establish a record for online streaming.
