Dude (2025), the latest romantic comedy-drama directed by Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is all set to make its digital debut, as Netflix announces its streaming date. It is widely known that the film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles.
After two consecutive blockbusters like Love Today and Dragon, this movie became the 3rd 100 Cr grosser for Pradeep Ranganathan, and it did very well till the Diwali holidays, maintaining a superb lead over the other Diwali releases, but later saw a drop in collections.
In Tamil Nadu, Bison took the lead over Pradeep’s film, while in Telugu, K-Ramp took the lead. But with a super-strong 1st week with Diwali holidays and an excellent opening advantage, the film successfully crossed 100 Cr. Everyone expected it would surpass the collections of Dragon easily, but it did not reach there due to a drop in numbers.
After a decent theatrical run, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude arrives on Netflix on 14th November, and we need to see how it works for OTT audiences. The film will be available for streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
Dude Movie Cast/Plot and Crew Details
Set against a youthful and emotional backdrop, Dude follows the story of Agan and Kural, two close friends, and when the latter proposes to the former, he does not agree but realizes that he loves her after a brief gap. Just when Agan confesses his feelings to Kural, he learns a shocking truth: that she is already in love with another person. The rest of the film is about how Agan makes Kural succeed in her love, facing any sort of troubles that come in their path.
The film marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran, who also wrote the screenplay. It is Mythri Movie Makers’ second Tamil production, following their expansion into the Tamil film industry. The movie features a strong supporting cast, including R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Neha Shetty, with Sai Abhyankkar composing the music.
