Nelson Dileepkumar became one of the craziest Directors of Indian Cinema with his Jailer starring Rajinikanth. The film became a box office sensation grossing more than 600 crores worldwide. He has also planned a sequel, Jailer 2 the Announcement Teaser for which has also been released recently. He has also lined up a film starring NTR after Jailer 2 and it is learnt that he is charging a record remuneration for it.
Nelson is reportedly demanding a remuneration of 50 crores and also a share in the profits. On the other hand, Jailer 2 will be going on sets this March or April targeting the summer season of 2026. There are huge expectations for Jailer 2 and the Announcement Teaser has also lived up to the expectations.
Nelson currently enjoys a great popularity among the fans and audience for his universal film making. So, his collaboration with NTR will surely generate a high level of buzz. NTR witnessed a phenomenal blockbuster last year with his Devara which grossed more than 500 crores worldwide. He is currently working for War 2 co-starring Hrithik Roshan and NTRNeel. So, the film with Nelson will go on floors after the completion of these two films.
