Naga Chaitanya’s highly anticipated action drama, Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is nearing completion, with only ten days of shooting left. Set to be the costliest project of Chaitanya’s career, Thandel also stars Sai Pallavi and delves into themes of love and patriotism. Although the film will be ready for a January release, its exact launch date remains uncertain.

The movie’s producer, Allu Arvind of Geetha Arts, holds the final say on whether Thandel will join the Sankranti race, as it would face competition from two major releases: Game Changer starring Ram Charan and NBK109. Additionally, Venkatesh’s untitled film with Anil Ravipudi is also eyeing a Sankranti slot. If Venkatesh’s film decides to shift its release, Thandel could secure a prime date in the Sankranti window.

When asked about the potential Sankranti release, Chandoo Mondeti mentioned that both Allu Arvind and Naga Chaitanya might be hesitant, given the high-profile competition. However, Mondeti remains hopeful that Arvind will select a date that optimizes the film’s release potential.

At the KA pre-release event, Naga Chaitanya expressed confidence in Thandel’s success, stating, “Geetha Arts provides the best release and content, giving any actor great confidence. Arvind Garu will decide on the release date, ensuring it’s in the best interests of everyone involved.” An official announcement regarding the release date is expected soon, as fans eagerly await the updates.
