Naga Babu’s strong counter to Mohan Babu over MAA building issue

With Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections just around the corner, a number of candidates have entered the fray. Of these, the prime candidates are Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu. Both these camps are mainly clashing over the issue of a new building for MAA.

However, an interesting update has come out which has led to a great tussle amongst some senior members of Tollywood. This tussle is expected to take a big turn with an amount of Rs 30 lakhs being unaccounted for at the moment.

Back in 2007, when Naga Babu presided over MAA, a building that existed in Srinagar Colony served as an office for the association. Rs 90 lakhs was spent on this building which included renovation and interior works.

However, much to everyone’s shock, the same building was sold off for just Rs 30 lakhs during Sivaji Raja and Naresh tenure in 2017. This issue has resurfaced now with Mohan Babu calling out this deal and asking an open question in a recent zoom meeting.

Responding to this, Naga Babu, during whose tenure this building was purchased asked Mohan Babu to not go for an open question and instead directly to Naresh and Sivaji Raja who are in fact supporting Manchu Vishnu in the upcoming elections. Incidentally, some time ago Manchu Vishnu claimed that his family will pay for the new building and that no contribution is needed from anyone.

This brings us back to the original burning point. “What happened to those Rs 30 lakhs and why was the building sold at such a loss without anyone’s knowledge?” Only Naresh and co. can answer this.
