Mufasa: The Lion King streaming now – details inside

Mufasa: The Lion King is the newest film from Walt Disney Animation Studios' live-action series, bringing in almost USD 653 million globally. While the 2019 movie focused on Simba's journey to becoming king, the 2024 prequel looks at Mufasa's early years. Released in theaters around the world on December 20, 2024, Mufasa serves as a prequel to The Lion King (2019). The film received mixed reviews overall, but it performed exceptionally well in India, earning 100 crore net at the box office. Now, fans can watch it online, as the Mufasa: The Lion King OTT release details have been announced.

Mufasa: The Lion King, the recent sequel of The Lion King is now available for streaming on Jio Hotstar. The film will be available in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages. The film did well in India upon its release. It also had vocals of Tollywood Actor Mahesh Babu in the Telugu version which excited the fans and audiences.

Mufasa: The Lion King, as said, has raked in more than 100 crores of Nett from India. The film’s performance was interestingly high from the Telugu and Tamil versions against the Hindi version. Shah Rukh Khan dubbed the character of Mufasa in the film in Hindi version. But somehow, Hindi performance was a bit disappointing. The film also overshadowed Viduthalai Part 2 which was released in a clash.

Directed by Barry Jenkins, Mufasa: The Lion King narrates the touching tale of how Mufasa goes from being an orphan to becoming the admired king of the Pride Lands. After he loses his parents, Mufasa develops a strong friendship with the lion Taka, and they set off on an adventure that tests their friendship and family connections.
