Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King will soon be available for streaming on OTT. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the prequel to the 2019 The Lion King remake had a good run at the box office.
Movie lovers will be happy to know that Mufasa: The Lion King OTT Streaming Details are out, but there is a catch. Disney Plus Hotstar has confirmed that the film will be released on video-on-demand (VOD) starting February 18. For the regular subscribers, the film will be available for streaming from April 1.
Mufasa: The Lion King is the latest addition to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ live-action collection, earning nearly USD 653 million worldwide. While the 2019 film traced Simba’s rise to kingship, the 2024 prequel explored Mufasa’s early life.
Made as a prequel to The Lion King (2019), Mufasa was released in theaters worldwide on December 20, 2024. The film received average reviews but in India, the film saw superb response and collected 100 crore net at the box office.
