Mohanlal’s Blockbuster Lucifer sequel shooting plan is locked

Mohanlal’s Lucifer was released back in 2019 and took the Kerala box office by storm. It went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time and no film has managed to even come close to breaking this record.

With the ending of Lucifer, it was very clear that there is a lot of scope to expand Lucifer into a franchise. Since then fans and movie lovers have been eagerly waiting for more updates regarding the sequel of Lucifer.

Finally, the announcement regarding Lucifer 2 came in the last year August, which is titled Empuraan. Prithviraj Sukumaran who played a key role in Lucifer as both actor and director is at the helm of affairs. Veteran Malayalam actor Murali Gopi is back as the screenwriter. Now it is said that the shooting plan of this sequel is locked.

It is being reported that the Malayalam Megastar Mohanlal will start the shooting of his big budget action extravaganza Empuraan aka Lucifer 2 soon. The film will be directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and the shoot will start in the first week of September. The schedule will happen in Noida & Ladakh & later in foreign locations.The movie is said to be the biggest budget film in Malayalam Industry.

Lucifer, which marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released in 2019 and became a huge success. The film, written by Murali Gopy, had Mohanlal as the lead, while Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Indrajith Sukumaran played the other major roles. The team announced the sequel Empuraan, which will also be produced by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas.
