The highly anticipated docu-film Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli, directed by Raghav Khanna and produced exclusively for Netflix, has returned to the spotlight, but for all the wrong reasons.The Netflix documentary honors the talent of SS Rajamouli, the architect behind epic blockbusters such as the Baahubali franchise and RRR.
The 74-minute special featurette has been keenly anticipated by Tollywood lovers and followers of master storyteller SS Rajamouli all across the world. This documentary features interviews with important figures such as James Cameron, Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, MM Keeravaani, and Rama Rajamouli, who explain their relationships and collaborations with Rajamouli, as well as his impactful work.
Now available on Netflix, there were high hopes for this documentary as it is about the master himself. Audiences expected insights into Rajamouli’s works as well as some undiscovered details. However, it contains no unseen substance or details. NTR, Ramcharan, and other actors have stated their views about Rajamouli in this documentary, but the dubbing was not done by them, including Rajamouli’s voice, which is a major disappointment, especially to the Telugu audience.
