The latest Malayalam film, “Manjummel Boys,” a survival thriller, has been making waves both in its home state of Kerala and across the globe. Released worldwide on February 22nd, the film has garnered positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, leading to impressive box office numbers. But the success isn’t limited to Kerala. In a historic feat, “Manjummel Boys” has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever in Tamil Nadu!
Within just seven days of its release, the film has raked in nearly 2 crores in Tamil Nadu and is on track to cross 3 crores soon. Even on a Tuesday, typically a low-earning weekday, the film managed to collect almost 70 lakhs, hinting at a potentially strong weekend performance. Some experts even predict the film could collect around 1-2 crores on a single day in the coming days.
With a potential run towards the 100 crore mark, “Manjummel Boys” faces competition from other successful Malayalam films like “Premalu” and “Bramayugama,” both performing incredibly well at the box office. Directed by Chidambaram S Poduval and produced by Babu Shahir and Soubin Shahir, the film features a cast led by Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, and Ganapathi S. Poduval, among others. The music is composed by Sushin Shyam.
