Mammootty's film, Kaathal The Core, banned in Qatar and Kuwait

Mammootty’s film, Kaathal The Core, was banned in Qatar and Kuwait. Starring Jyotika opposite the Malayalam Superstar, the film was supposed to be released directly on OTT, but later, the makers decided to have a theatrical release. They are now facing an unexpected problem. Mammootty’s film, Kaathal The Core, was banned in Qatar and Kuwait.

‘Kaathal – The Core’ is a widely anticipated film for 2023 because it features Mammootty and Jyotika. The film, expected to be released in theaters on November 23, has been banned by the governments of Kuwait and Qatar. Many Indian movies have been banned in both countries recently because of their storylines, which do not follow their ideologies.

Jeo Baby from ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ is the head of ‘Kaathal – The Core.’ The film marks Mammootty and Jyotika’s inaugural collaboration. The makers recently shared the film’s trailer, which impressed the audience.

‘Kaathal – The Core’ was banned in Kuwait and Qatar days before its release due to its controversial content. The film’s story is believed to be dealing with topics like homosexuality, and that is why the film failed to pass the Censor in Kuwait. This will have a massive effect on the movie because these markets are solid zones for Malayalam films.

Other actors in the film are Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandini, Sudhi Kozhikode, Anagha Aku, Josie Sajo, and Adarsh Sukumaran—cinematography by Salu K Thomas. Mammootty produced the film under the banner of Mammootty Kampany. The film, written by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulsen Scaria, is distributed by Wayfarer Films.
