In recent years, a clear pattern has emerged in Rajinikanth’s films, with prominent Malayalam stars playing crucial roles and adding strong value to the narrative, which is also continuing in his next film. It began powerfully with Jailer, where Mohanlal appeared in a cameo role. Though brief, his presence worked big time and became one of the major highlights of the film.
Next came Vettaiyan, where Fahadh Faasil played a very crucial and impactful role. The trend continued in Coolie, where Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir is said to be playing a major and significant character.
Now, in Jailer 2, Mohanlal is continuing his role from the first part. Now Rajinikanth has signed his next film under the direction of Cibi Chakravarthy, and in this project too, he continues the sentiment of acting with Malayalam stars, as Basil Joseph, a popular actor and director, is reportedly playing an important role in it. The film will be produced by Kamal Haasan.
The filming is scheduled to begin at the end of April, and the movie is expected to be a full-fledged entertainer.
