Tamil Actor gets a conditional bail in Cocaine Case
Senior advocate John Sathyan, representing Srikanth, argued that his client was arrested solely based on a confession from the main suspect, Pradeep Kumar, who alleged that Srikanth used drugs. However, he pointed out that no drugs were found on Srikanth. “Srikanth was at home playing with his child when the police arrived and arrested him,” said John Sathyan.
In response, the prosecution argued that during the investigation of a murder attempt case involving former AIADMK member Prasath, details about the drug smuggling operation emerged.
Following Prasath’s confession, the main suspect, Praveen Kumar, was arrested, and based on Praveen Kumar’s statement, Srikanth was arrested on June 23 and Krishna on June 26, according to the government counsel.
