Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss came together for the first time for Madharaasi, which was released on 5th September. The film struggled to do well at the box office, but surprisingly, the team celebrated a success party.
The action thriller opened with weak reviews in Telugu and saw a disastrous result, but in Tamil the film opened with decent reviews and mixed WOM and had a good weekend. But after that, the film completely crashed at the box office and did not pick up even on weekends.
Madharaasi Box Office: A Big Underperformance
The film almost ended its box office run with around 100 Cr gross. Considering the business, budget, and star combination, the numbers are very low, and Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi can even be considered as a flop at the box office.
But surprisingly, the team celebrates a success party in which Anirudh, Sivakarthikeyan, Murugadoss, and others were present. This has shocked the audiences as they wonder that despite the film doing nothing much at the box office, the team celebrates it as a big success.
