Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam is all set to release on 12th August and he will be seen playing the role of an IAS Officer in the film. The film has got great positive buzz thanks to the ‘ I am Ready’ song which ha turned out to be an instant chartbuster. However, the film has also been mired in controversy after the Macherla Niyojakavargam director M.S. Rajashekhar’s alleged old Tweets went viral.
Twitter users claim that these Tweets were made by him while the director claims that that’s not his profile and someone has created a fake account in his name. In his defence, M.S. Rajashekhar Reddy claimed that the aforementioned handle’s spelling is also different.
However, netizens were unforgiving of this and even trended tweets against the director and the film. Reacting to this, the Macherla Niyojakavargam director has filed a complaint with the cybercrime unit in Hyderabad.
The discussed tweet carries a few un-parliamentary words and is abusive in a manner to other caste groups, especially to those who competed and lost on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the 2019 AP Elections.
A couple of social media users brought these old tweets to the public notice and tagged the director and its actor, questioning the filmmaker on his dignity and spreading such caste-based hatred. Now the director is coming up with a film with a political backdrop.
In the written complaint, The director claims a few people are creating fake tweets in his name to spread hatred among other caste groups of AP, thus he requests serious action against them.
