Director Lokesh Kanagaraj seems to be delaying Kaithi 2 continuously, knowingly or unknowingly. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the sequel to begin, but it has not taken off yet.
After the massive success of Vikram starring Kamal Haasan, many expected Lokesh to immediately start Kaithi 2. Instead, he went ahead with Leo and Coolie, both of which failed to impress audiences. Despite repeated questions from fans, Lokesh has not moved forward with the sequel.
According to earlier plans, Lokesh was supposed to begin Kaithi 2 after completing Coolie. But he tried to collaborate with Rajinikanth again, which did not materialize. Fans then hoped he would finally team up with Karthi for the much-awaited sequel.
However, fresh reports suggest that Lokesh has signed his next film under KVN Productions, which is likely to feature a big Telugu star. The buzz is that Pawan Kalyan might play the lead role. If true, this would be an exciting combination for Pawan Kalyan’s fans, but for followers of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), it means another long wait for Kaithi 2.
