For a few weeks, there were rumors that Aamir would return as the alien in a sequel to his 2014 blockbuster PK. But the actor dismissed the rumors during a recent media interaction. As per Bollywood media reports, he said, “PK 2 is a rumor. I don’t know anything about it.”
Surprisingly, the actor said he would work on a superhero project with Lokesh Kanagaraj, the talented director who scored blockbusters like Vikram, Kaithi, and Leo. “Lokesh and I are working on a film. It belongs to the superhero genre. It’s a big-scale action film and will go on floors in the second half of 2026,” Aamir added.

Initially, this film was supposed to be made with Suriya as the lead, but it got delayed due to various reasons, and now, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Aamir Khan will collaborate for this superhero film.
Currently, Lokesh is working on the script, and he will narrate it to Aamir Khan once it’s ready. Although the film is in its initial phases, both the actor and director seem very excited about the idea. If everything proceeds smoothly and Aamir approves the script, the film, which doesn’t have a title yet, is expected to start production in mid-2026..
