Lokah, the female superhero film, which was made on a 35 Cr budget, releases with multiple films in competition and rewrites all of the Mollywood industry’s records, emerging as a new industry hit today.
Mohanlal’s Empuraan, which was released this year, became an industry hit with 265 Cr gross despite having below-par reviews and WOM, and it broke Manjummel Boys, the previous record holder at the box office.
Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra will cross Empuraan’s gross today and become the industry hit and the no. 1 film for Mollywood.
The film is also expected to join the 100 Cr Club in Kerala today, and the film has every chance to become the no. 1 grosser in its homeland by chasing Mohanlal’s Thudarum’s 119 Cr collections.
Directed by Dominc Arun, the film has been produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films and it is the first part of the Lokah Franchise.
