Lal Salaam, co-written and directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and funded by Lyca Productions, marked her comeback to feature film direction after a significant break. Though Rajini is not the lead of the film, the film’s posters prominently featured him, raising high hopes for the film to succeed at the box office.

Unfortunately, Lal Salaam did not meet fans’ expectations and ended up as a big failure at the box office. Because of some alleged missing 40-minute footage from the film, the digital release was stalled. Now, Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam is finally arriving on OTT.
Sunnxt, the prominent digital platform officially made an announcement that the film will be available for streaming form this Bakrid, June 7, 2025.
AR Rahman composed the film’s music. Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth played the lead roles in the movie, and Ananthika Sanilkumar and Jeevitha appeared in other crucial parts of the film.
