Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom opened to superb numbers at the box office on its first day but failed to maintain the flow and saw drops in its collections afterward. Kingdom OTT version needs fixes if it aims to go for the second part.
As said above, after a terrific start, the Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial is doing average business at the box office, and it will settle with the same status in the end. The main complaint about the film is editing.
Kingdom’s Main Complaint: Bad Editing
Most of the people who have watched the film felt that the movie had a very good story, as it deals with strong emotions, but a lot of scenes that connect to the main story have been removed, as the team goes for a shorter runtime for theaters, which has heavily backfired.
The audiences feel that with the right edit and clear detailing, the film could have been on another level. Now, the public demands all those changes to be included in the OTT release.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom OTT Release Needs Some Changes
Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom OTT version needs fixes, as the makers planned it as a multi-part film, and with such an ordinary result at the box office, the second part may not happen.
So if the makers release the extended version on OTT, then there is a chance of people connecting with the film. If that happens, the response from the viewers can change the film’s impact, which will prompt the makers to go ahead with Part 2.
We need to wait and see whether the makers put some effort into the digital release or they will directly release the theatrical version on Netflix too.
